Courses › AI for Small Business Owners › Lesson 8: Your 30-day plan
Lesson 8 of 8 from the course AI for Small Business Owners (in preparation). It is still being tested with real people. Check every step against your own work.
What you will be able to do
Choose one task, test it for 30 days, and decide what to keep. About 15 minutes to set up, then a few minutes a week.
Step 1: Pick one task
Choose one task from lessons 2 to 7 that costs you the most time or causes the most mistakes. Only one.
Step 2: Write your starting point
- How long the task takes you now, per job.
- How often you make mistakes or redo it.
- The steps you follow, written on paper.
Step 3: Use the method for 30 days
Use the method every time the task comes up. After each job, note the time taken, including checking, and any corrections you had to make.
Step 4: Decide after 30 days
- Keep it if it saves time and the quality is the same or better.
- Change it if it helps only sometimes. Adjust one step and test again.
- Drop it if it does not help. That is a useful result too.
Step 5: Teach it
If you keep the method, write the steps and the check list on one page so a colleague or helper can follow it. They must check results too.
What you should have at the end
One routine you trust, with your own time numbers to show whether it helps. We do not promise a result. Your numbers decide.
